                     I am going to tell you about Beverly Cleary. I have been researching things on her. Some things that I researched on her was like her early life and how many awards she won. You might want to get comfortable. Beverly Cleary was born in a place called Mcminnville. It is a place in Oregon. When she was in school she struggled in reading and writing. Beverly Cleary was born in 1916. Her middle name was Bun.                                         She went to school at Washington University. Beverly Cleary went to Colledge and graduated. She also went to high school and graduated. She was very smart. That is how she became a writer.                                    One of the awards that she won was a medal in 2003. Another medal that she won was a American library award. She also won 35 statewide awards. She won another medal in 1975.                               There are many interesting facts about Beverly Cleary. One of them was when she was a kid she liked to observe people. She would write about anything, even descusting things.                                       One of the interesting facts is that she won 35 statewide awards. Do you think that is interesting? You better say yes. Another is that she likes to read. Also that  she had a problem reading just cause the books that she was givin was to boring for her.                       She published a lot of books. One of them is  is Ramona and her father.      I chose J.R.R Tolkien for my author report because I like his books.  J.R.R Tolkien was born on January, 3rd 1892 in Beteemfentien, South Africa.  He died on September 2nd on 1973 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.

    

     He went to the University of Oxford.  The University of Oxford is in England.  People usally do not know that,unless you live in England.

     J.R.R Tolkien has won  the Locos Award.  He also won the International Fantasy Award.  It would be cool to win an award.  It must be hard.  He has also won many other awards.

     He liked to write.  I am pretty sure he liked fantasy.  I am 99.9% sure that all of his books are fantasy.  He also liked to teach.

     J.R.R Tolkien and C.S Lewis were close friends.  C.S Lewis wrote the Narnia scries.  Almost all of the people I asked, "Who was close friends with C.S Lewis?" they knew.

     J.R.R Tolkien published The Lord of the Rings.  He also published The Hobbit, The Slimarillion, The Children of Hurin, and The Unfinished Tales.  He does a good job on his books.

     If I could ask J.R.R Tolkien questions I would ask ,"How did you get the idea for Hobbits and Middle Earth?" " What inspired you to write the hobbit and the lord of the rings?" I would ask him many other things.  It would be cool to talk to J.R.R Tolkien.
    
     In conclusion, J.R.R Tolkien is amazing  I figured out that he was born in South Africa.  He was friends with C.S Lewis.  He lived in England. I recommend J.R.R Tolkien to anybody.

J.K. Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 in Yate, United Kingdom.  I chose to write about J.K. Rowling because she is my most favorite author. I really love J.K. Rowling.

            Do you like J.K. Rowling? Have you read all seven Harry Potter books?  J.K. is short for Joanne Kathleen. J.K. Rowling went to the University of Exeter. The University of Exeter is on the northern coast of England.

            J.K. Rowling has won many awards. Some of them are: Author of the Year, the British Books Award, Order of the British Empire and the Prince of Asturlas Awards.

            She has many interests that started when she was young. She wrote lots of books as a kid. She likes French, the Classics, teaching and reading. She had an idea about the Harry Potter story and since she loves to write, she decided to make the books.

            Her books have been sold all around the world.  Some countries where you can find her stories are England, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Finland, Denmark, Spain, Sweden and of course the U.S.

            The story of Harry Potter began with The Sorcerer’s Stone, which is funny. Book 2 is The Chamber of Secrets, I haven’t finished reading it yet.  The Prisoner of Azkaban is the third book in the series.  Book 4 is called The Goblet of Fire, which is followed by Book 5 The Order of the Phoenix. The Half-Blood Prince is Book 6. The final book is bum, bum, bummmm…. The Deathly Hallows. Some people say it is scary, but I don’t think so.

            If I were able to ask J.K. Rowling questions, I would start with “How did you come up with the idea for Harry Potter?” Then I would ask her when she started writing the first book. Finally, I would ask her if she would be writing anymore Harry Potter books or even some about other characters from the Harry Potter books.

            I have learned many things about J.K. Rowling. One thing I found out is that she wrote a lot of books as a kid. She also loves to read, just like I do. Finally I learned what her full name is, Joanne Kathleen Rowling.

Dav went to Kent State University. He always misbehaved in school. He was so misbehaved he had a permanent desk out in the hallway.

Dav won the Caldecott honor award. He also won Funniest book of the year. His books are really funny, don't you think?

His hobbies are writing funny books, and to read. He writes poems, too. I have never read or heard of his poems.

His name is still pronounced "Dave", even though it is spelled Dav. The "e" was removed from his name tag at Pizza Hut. He was diagnosed with and suffers from dyslexia and hyperactivity disorder.

Pilkey published Captain Underpants. He also published Super Diaper Baby, Super Diaper Baby 2, Ook and Gluk kung fu cavemen from the future. He also published Kat Kong.

The Third Floor Bedroom

It all started when someone left the window open.  There once was two girls named Fawn and Willow, Fawn is the oldest, Willow is the youngest.  They lived in the land of white birds. 

In the beginning of Fall, it was the 5th of November.  After dinner which was a rich, juicy golden chicken the girls went to bed.  It was hot in the house so Fawn opened the window in Willows room.  All of a sudden there was a strange wind that blew in. Then a white bird suddenly flew in and was stuck to the wall.  The girls were quite surprised.  He seemed stunned so the girls took him off the wall and placed him in an open shoe box on a soft pink flannel nightgown from Willow.  With the birds soft cooing song the girls drifted off to sleep.

In the morning Fawn woke up and stretched with a loud a yawn.  She looked over at Willows bed and was surprised to see the bed empty.  Then she noticed that the bird was no longer in shoe box.  Thinking Willow had taken the bird outside to let it go, she got up and went down the stairs and outside.  She looked around at the green lush farm and did not see her sister or the bird.  Since their father was in the fields often from dusk to dawn he had installed a security system in the house to protect the girls from harm.  Fawn went to check the footage from the night to see where Willow went.

In the video Fawn saw the little bird transform into a mighty eagle and picked up her sister in her sleep and carried her away out the window.  Right then, Fawn knew her sister was in terrible trouble. She knew that she needed to go into the woods that bordered the farm.  She put on her clothes, a soft flannel shirt and green lycra stretchy pants.  Next were her soft calf's skin boots, perfect from walking quietly in the woods.  She grabbed her bow and arrow, her hat to protect her from the blazing sun and packed a lunch.

She could see her father in the field plowing.  She skirted the farm and quietly entered the forest.  The first thing that happened was a little bird sounded an alarm.  Fawn quickly snatched the bird off of a low hanging branch.  "Where is my sister?" demanded Fawn.  The bird replied that he would not tell Fawn where her sister was.  She pulled out an arrow preparing to use it on the bird.  The bird looked scared and quickly told Fawn "Fine, fine.  I know where she is. She is in the kingdom of white birds at the edge of the mountain."  Fawn asked the bird why she was taken. The bird replied that many moons ago,  that the bird she saw used to be a boy. 

He had two sisters that were spending the night with a friend at their house.  The two sisters left the bedroom and went to get a glass of cool, clear water.  The friend pushed the boy out of the window while they were away.  The white birds rescued the little boy but as they carried him  a strange wind blew turning the boy into a bird.  And since that day,  he has wanted revenge.  He had been looking for the friend for years and finally found her when he found Willow.  He was so obsessed with revenge that he did not realize how much time had passed and that Willow could not be the  friend that had hurt him.

Fawn quickly realized she had to save her sister but it would take time and planning as well as finding the person who had hurt him.  Would she be able to do it in time to save Willow?

Hockey versus Baseball

Hockey and Baseball are very much alike and different.  In the essay below I will tell you how they are both alike and different.  They are both fun to watch.

Hockey and Baseball have only boys playing professionally.  There are girl teams but I think they are minor leagues.  Both have fans who support there favorite teams.  Both have stores where fans can buy their stuff to support their teams and use at games.  There are food vendors at each game for hockey and baseball.  Both are very physical sports and the players need to be healthy to play.  They both wear head protection so that they do not get hurt.  There are referees at both games.  They both have coaches and the players have to practice a lot.  These are just some of the ways they are alike.

Hockey is different in these ways.  Hockey is played on ice during fall and winter.  They use sticks to hit a puck on the ground.  They wear padding all over so that they don't get hurt when they fall.  They also wear ice skates to move around.  They have goalies to prevent the puck from entering the net and scoring.  They have two half's and they play overtime called sudden death.  They also fight a lot and the fans call it blood on the ice.  The players are very physically and will slam each other into walls, stick each other and trip one another.  This leads to the penalty box and one less player on the ice.

Baseball is played during summer and fall. They use baseballs that they hit with bats.  They have pitchers to throw the ball to the hitter.  They have 9 innings.  The players run to three bases and they are out when a ball is caught will in the air or tagged by the opposite team with the ball.  There is not a lot of physical contact between players.  Players slide into base.   They have 3 chances to hit the ball or they are out.  They run around a field with dirt and grass shaped in a diamond.  When a ball is hit out of the field people have a chance to catch the ball.  If there is a fight players are thrown out of the game and are not allowed to return and often fined by the baseball commission.

Hockey and Baseball are alike in that they require coaches and players.  They practice their sports  a lot.  They are both played in Fall. They have fans and those fans love to buy their products to support the team.  But Hockey and Baseball are very different in that hockey is played on ice and baseball is played on a grass and dirt field.  Hockey have two half's but here are nine innings in baseball.  While both are alike and different, I like to watch both of them!

Harry Potter vs. Hermione Granger

     Have you ever read the book Harry Potter if you have not you really should .The names of things I’m comparing and contrasting are Harry Potter and Hermione Granger because they are both in my favorite book Harry Potter.

Once you finish the first book you’ll like Harry Potter and keep going to the second book. Well I know this is a long paragraph .Now to the second paragraph.

     Well both of them go to Hogwarts. Their friends with Ron. Malfoy is their foe and they don’t like Malfoy. Harry and Hermione both know Ron well.  Hermione and Harry went to the forbidden forest for detention.

     Harry is a wizard, but Hermione is a witch. This wizard is a boy, and this witch is a girl. In the first book Harry is a first year, yet Hermione is a second year in the first book. Harry Potter has met the head the head, for Hermione has not met the head. Mr. Potter met Ron first, so Hermione met Ron second.

     Well now you know a bit about Harry Potter and Hermione Granger .You never say you don’t like Harry Potter because you like the book. I love the book and so will you. Now if you read the book you’ll like the books. Now go read the book and tell me and tell how the book was.

So number 1,cats and dogs can both be pets.(not like their very good somtimes.)
Number 2,they both have fur and paws.Number 3,they have four legs and are both animals.

I said usely.Second of all,dogs are more populer for pets than cats.Next,cats cant help pepole
 like guide dogs do.Now this is true.Cats do not like outside but dogs do.Finally cats are usely

     They both are jolly ranchers.There both candy Both of them are the same size.Both blueberry and raspberry same wrappers.Also,they both have sugar in them.
     One is blue,and one is red.Blueberry taste better,while raspberry dose not taste that good.Blueberry is sparkly, when raspberry is not so sparkly.Blueberry is sweat,also raspberry is not so sweat.

They are VERY different. Books have pictures, but movies have screens. Books have words, when movies have people talking. Books can't move, and movies will move. Books have pages, but movies have moving screens. Books have paragraphs, but movies don't.

     Welcome to Compare and Contrast game show! Today we will compare and contrast...Math and Spelling!!! Here are the differences between the two: they are both subjects in school,and they are both things you can learn.Math and spelling both have tests involved, and they both have words.

     Both math and spelling can be used on the chorme books. Now I will tell you the differences between the two: math has word problems and spelling has spelling problems. In math you think while in spelling you have to spell. In math you do homework when in spelling you have to study words.

     In one you need Brains in but in the other you need a pencil. See if you can guess which one. Math has numbers yet spelling has letters.

             Have you ever played football or baseball if you have or not I will tell you about it.So they are alike because  in games there are game balls.It also is a sport.You need to throw the ball to.
It also involves running there is equipment.They are different because football has a big ball while baseball has a small ball.In football the ball is shaped as a diamond and baseball the ball is shaped as a sphere and a circle.
 Also foot ball has so many pads like solder pads arm pads helmet and allot more but that would take a long time oh ya baseball has barely any pads.Football has a touchdown when baseball has a home plate that is a very big difference.So that's what I think so bye bye but not now.

     Link has yellow hair, while Mario has brown.Link owns a green uniform, when Mario has a red. Link is tall, although Mario is short. Link's size is good, yet Mario is fat. While Link has a sword, however Mario has no weapon.

Have you ever played soccer or football? What on do you think is better? I am going to show you  the similarities and differences of football and soccer. People play in both sports. Both the the sports have team names..In football you throw the ball, unlike soccer you kick the ball. Football is more fun, but soccer is boring..In football you make field goals, while in soccer you make scores. When a penalty happens in football you go back five yards, on the other hand in soccer is a penalty when you throw in the ball. Maybe you can find more differences and similarities of soccer and football.  like football more than soccer. I have not played soccer but I  have played football.

Mr. Linden's library by Grace

He had warned her about the book.Now it was too late.
     A girl named Cathern went to this weird library to get a book.
She looked and looked then Cathern found the book she wanted to read.
Cathern went to check it out then she bumped into Mr. Linden. Mr. Linden tried to warn
her about the book but she did not listen to him. "Please please Mr. Linden I want to read this spell book badly. Mr. Linden please let me read the book." said Cathern.
     Cathern read the book on the way home. When she got home she does a spell that noone else knew about. It makes you fall asleep and the way you can wake up is a true love kiss. Cathern has been asleep for ten days now. Then Cathern remembers that true loves kiss is how to wake up. Her true loves kiss still has not come yet. Cathern is getting bored sleeping for her true loves kiss to come. But little did she know is that true love does not come fast it takes time for true love. Now it was eleven days she waited for true loves kiss to come to her. The librarian comes everyday now and always says before he leaves he says "I told you so and also you are tall, 18, and whight." said the librarian. He always felt sad for Cathern for eleven days. Each day he felt sadder and sadder for twelve days now each day sadder and sadder he fells. Each day the boy has not come and the longer Cathern slept the more he feels sadder and sadder he feels.
     By the fourteenth day a handsome boy named Taeton came and kissed Cathern before Mr. Linden comes to check on her. Mr. Linden said "who did what?" Cathern and Taeton did not know what to do.
     They ask Mr. Linden what to do but Mr. Linden did not know what to do. Then and idea came to him saying "Bring the book back to the library." said Mr. Linden. The next day they return it to the library. They never wanted to go to that library again.
     Mr. Linden was happy Cathern is okay and always will be. But how Taeton knew what room Cathern was in? We will never know Cathern was in room Threeteen. That will always remain a mystery to solve. Cathern and Taeton lived happy ever after.

           On a warm day in Trinity, California I was cleaning up lunch when I heard knock at the door. I was surprised because I was not expecting a visitor.  When I opened the door, this is what I saw.  Bigfoot was standing on the door step of my cabin.  I was shocked and speechless.  He was hug!  He was at least 12ft. tall.  He was hairy with long brown furry hair all over his body.

            After getting over my shock I said,” Hi big furry giant.”  He said, “Good afternoon tiny whatever you are.  Would you please give me a hair cut?”  I said, “What hair stile would you like?”  Bigfoot replied, “I would like a mullet please.”  I said,” Yes, I shall, if it’s the last thing I do.”

            I had him go to the back porch and sit down.  I excused my self and got a comb, scissors, a spray bottle, and some cologne (he stunk worse than a skunk).  I set everything up on a table next to us. I was pretty sure this was the first time I had ever been asked to give someone or something a hair cut, but I was not going to tell him that!

 I began by trying to spay his hair with water, so it would be less frizzy. The frizz would not go down, so I moved on by using my comb.  As soon as I tried to Comb it, all of the teeth disintegrated into his hair.  I then tried to use the scissors, but they broke.  I stood there and thought for a minute then I remembered that I had pruning shears.  I used the shears, and they were a success. 

            I finished cutting his hair and tried to spray cologne on him, but it ended up in my eyes instead.  I told him we were finished, so he stood up and said, “Why thank you, thank you very much.”  I nodded and he walked away.  All of a sudden I heard a buzzing sound (it was my alarm clock) I woke up and I heard a knock on the door.

     His heart was pounding.He was sure he had seen the doorknob turn.Bob was scared,because he knew someone was coming in.Five dwarfs burst through the door.
     Bob quietly hid.He did not want anybody to see him.The 5 dwarfs just got home from the store.
     Bob hid under the bed of the two married dwarfs.The kid dwarfs Anna,James,and Mike were the 3 kid dwarfs.The 2 married couple names are John and Sara.While John and Sara put away the grocrices,Anna said "Were going up stairs.Sara said "Ok."The kids went up stairs and played.
     Bob hurried the dwarfs coming up stairs,so he had to breathe quieter.Bob said to him self " I wish this was easy."The kids went in there own room.Bob got out and went to one of the kids room and kid naped Anna and took her jewels.Anna yelled "Help.
     "Then Bob jumped out the window.Bob said "Ouch."Bob Limped off.The kids and the parents ran to her room and saw she was gone.They saw Bob but not Anna.Bob tripped on a rock and died.Anna and Bob were never to be seen again.

His heart was pounding. He was sure that he had seen the doorknob turn. There was a tower in Junk town,Utah. 6 boys and their parents lived there. Their parents died in 2001. There was 1 problem: the tower was haunted.

On December 9, 2002 a boy saw a shadow sneaking around the tower. He was up in the kitchen telling the brothers, "I saw a shadow." The other boys said "that might have been the shadow that killed our parents last year."

On April 8, 2005 someone rang the doorbell. 1 boy said,"open the dang door I'm busy."One of the other boys opened the door. No one was there. A mysterious man appeared. He killed the boy and said,"sometimes its just too easy."

The other boys came downstairs and found the boys body. A crobar was next to it. "What are we gonna do." 1 boy said. "How should we know." The other boy said. On June 8, 2005 a mysterious noise appeared. "What is that noise." the boys said. "Dudes its only the door." A boy said. The boy opened the door. "Huh." the boy said.

On June 29, 2005, the phone rang. The boy answered the phone. 15 seconds later, the boy got pumilized into the phone. At midnight 2 boys got out of bed and wandered into the kitchen. They got their midnight snacks. The second they bit into their snacks. They died. On June 30, 2005 2 boys tried to find the others. They eventally found them, dead on the kitchen floor.

They turned on the news. The news guy said, "4/6 the boys and their parents died in the creepy tower in Junk town, Utah. What will happen next? 3 hours later all the boys died.

The third floor bedroom

     It all began when someone left the window open...   One day in Paris France, there was a house at 4 4 3 6 N 1 1 2 E on June street, in that house lived one teenage girl, two annoying teenage boys, and a widowed  mother. The girl`s name was Anna, the boys names  were Bob and Zack, and the mom`s name was May. Anna had decided to have a slumber party in the room on the third floor, she needed guests so she invited her five friends, Julie, Catie, Jennifer, Jemma, and Jenny.     When the girls came Anna welcomed them,''Hello, and welcome to my J C, and A slumber party you can not come if your name does not start with a J C or A.'' The girls clapped and clapped.
     Then Jenny said,''That means your brothers will not bother us!'' The girls clapped and cheered again. Then Anna showed them her room,''Wow this is great!'' said Jennifer. ''Mmmmhmmm.'' Agreed Anna. She liked her room too. They started to play games, then began to listen to Taylor Swift music, then Miley Cyrus, then Hannah Montana, then Katy Perry,''I got the eye of the tiger...'' the black radio sang. The girls sang along. Then the boys came pounding up the stairs,''Stop the RACKET!!!'' they shouted. ''Nuhuhuh!'' said Anna,''This is a J C and A party only!''  This hapbig white pned over and over again.  
     Then when everyone went to bed the window was left open. A bird flew in and matched the shape of a white bird on the wall.then it went to the window to wait. More and more birds flew in and matched shapes and flew to the window to wait.
     Then the girls woke up and saw the birds! They ran downstairs to tell the boys, but they did not beileve them!''Go see for your self!'' cried Anna. The boys went to go see. When they saw the big, white, and feathery birds they screamed like little girls and ran around in circles. The birds got shoed away and they were never seen again.

Nicks hart was pounding he saw the door nob turn oh ya it was a morning in Denver Colarodo and a guy named nick wanted a jewel that a guy named frank found Nick snuck in frank came down Nick tried to hide and Frank saw him and said what are you doing in my house Nick said your wife Jule hierd me Frank said ok so frank was looking for it and he found it he said finily Fank said what are you doing with my jewel Nick said I found it so I picked it up and Nick ran out the door Frank ran after him he caught him and people never saw him again people say he tortured him or killed him and then one day they saw him old with one eye he said stay away from Frank Gore people wanted to kill him so they came over to his house  with guns and torches Frank said it was not my falt . he came in my house and lied and he ran away with the jewel I cauth him and he triped on a rock and a stick went throuth his eye i did surgery on him on he had a dream of me torturing him they said ok he will be in jail for 1 to 2 years  so they went over to his house and told him  Nick said it would make the would a better place the people went back over and told him he said I had know idea so nick and frank became friends the end

    His heart was pounding. he was sure he had seen the doorknob turn. It was the 3rd age in middle earth. Gandolf ran through the door. Gandolf hit his head on a chandelier. Bilbo is shocked. "Gandolf what are you doing here?" Bilbo said.

     "To look for adventures."Gandolf responded.

     "Well you won't find any here.Have a good day."Bilbo said.

     "If you insist."Gandolf said.

    Later that evening dwarves and Gandolf came to Bilbo's house. The dwarves were named Thorin,Dwalin,Balin,Bifor,Bofor,Bombor,Gloin,Dori,Nori,Ori,and Oin.They,(the dwarves)wanted food.Bilbo made food. The dwarves eat like pigs.In the morning the dwarves were gone. Gandolf was also gone.The dwarves wanted Bilbo to come on their jurney.
     Bilbo ran to catch up with them.Bilbo cought up.The dwarves want to take back their city ruled by an evil dragon named Smaug. After a while they ended up in a cave.They camped out in the cave.
     That night goblins captured them and took them to their underground lair.The goblins took the dwarves and did not take Bilbo.The goblins said "We should eat them!"as they ran off.
     Bilbo sighed in relief.Bilbo fell off the platform!He landed in a dark damp place.H saw a creature in the distance.
     The creature dropped a ring without noticing. Bilbo ran to pick it up.The creature saw Bilbo and tried to kill him.They made a bet if Bilbo lost he got eaten. IF the creature lost Bilbo won and escaped. Meanwhile Thorin and co. met the goblin king. The goblin king wanted to kill them.They got away battling goblins. Bilbo and all of the dwarves got out but orcs were chasing them.They had to climb a tree to get away.
    They were on a cliff.Giant eagles saved them.They were closer to the lonley mountain.Bilbo said, " This is amazing!"
     They got to the lonley mountain.Bilbo went in by himself.He fought Smaug and killed him.The dwarves got their city back.

It was a hot summer day in Samoa Tutuila. There was three teenage girls.They begged there parents if they could have a sleepover.
                                          After a lot of begging they finally said yes. They went to the movies with one girls family. After that the family went to get ice-cream. The girls did not want to go because they were to tired of sweets.
             The next thing they did was go surfing. They had a lot of fun till one girl got bit by a shark. She could not swim so dolphins helped her.
                                                   They went to a surgen. The surgen was a 9 year old. That is funny right. The surgen gave her stitches.
                                    The girl who got stitches was Madison.The two other girls were Natalie and Jayda.They were so worried about Madison.
                             She got a new leg . The surgen said that Madison could not swim unless she learned how to adjest her new leg.She was so worried.
                               But the next few days later she learned how to adjest it.She called her friends and told them the news.They were so happy.They went surfing again.
